Made for Yandere Game Jam 2025!

You are the ghost of a murder victim haunting a mirror on the school stairs. One night, another evil spirit appears in the building, chasing a living student. In a moment of strength, or perhaps weakness, you pull the other monster into the mirror with you.

Fortunately, the process seals Homura's full power and memories. He's become a relatively sweet amnesiac who's easy to take care of... or torment. Unfortunately, he'll regain both very soon.

Now you have three days to seduce, intimidate, or succumb to an amnesiac evil spirit.

Please be aware that this is a demo build.

Absolutely adore mc and Homura, I'm excited to see where things go from the little tidbits I've seen.

Thank you! I'm glad you're enjoying it! Work on the next build is ongoing, though it's been slow for a variety of reasons. It should at least conclude Day 1.

I'm excited, thank you for your hard work and take your time!

i need homura so bad i made an account to comment. TY for this lovely deranged mc, i cant wait to see what other bad decisions he can make

Thank you! I'm delighted to hear that you like Homura. I worked hard on him. He's a very nice boy, except for all the things that are horribly wrong with him.

I'm planning on doing another big push on this game in the next month or so, so please look forward to an updated demo then!

The new build should feature:

  • A complete Day 1
  • At least one kiss
  • Probably some biting
  • Sword
  • Fire
  • Homura losing his goddamn mind
  • The narrator losing his goddamn mind
  • A relatively happy and peaceful start to Day 2 if you were very careful and raised all the correct flags. :)
  • A burning trashfire of a start to Day 2 if you think that sounds boring

I hope to see you there!

This game is such a cool concept but for some reason I can't move past the first day no matter what I do. Still, love what I've been able to play so far

Sorry for the confusion! This is a demo build, so it ends shortly before the conclusion of day one. I'm glad you've enjoyed it so far.

Glad you enjoyed the text effects!

The shifting colours REALLY communicate the nice back-and-forth here as it looks at the protagonist from an introspective angle. (Or maybe reflective?) It's especially neat in that the outside-context character who's learning things does it through our narration. I oddly felt compelled to be as monstrous as possible the first run - staring in the mirror and acting a bit direct with him about arson... but it ended up bringing me a bit closer to Homura by the end, just kind of disarmed by how openly he took it all. It's a great dynamic! Almost feels like... one of us is touching a stove without feeling anything?

Later playthroughs just really helped hammer in how EXCITED the protagonist could get at something changing, even at his own peril, even with his own narrow perspective. That really makes me interested to see who we'll learn more about first, if either of them - and if that'll be consistent across playthroughs. I especially liked how an almost straightfoward "thanking" about the black flames on my first playthrough, during my third playthrough, turned into a deeper analysis of the two. My last playtrhough was on the game of tag, I think that was my favorite out of them!

I'm glad to hear you liked the text effects! I did a lot of experimenting with those in this project. And happy that Homura's slow exposure to the world through the player's choices is interesting. There's definitely some slow boiling going on, haha!

Yeah, the protagonist is definitely the yandere here, though Homura isn't exactly stable himself. Especially once he started regaining his memories.

It's good that the game of tag came across well! I worked hard to build tension on that one. Thanks for playing!
